After defeating a band of brigands, who had installed in the ruins, Haldir explores the villa. Here 
he founds 300 GP, together with a beautiful silver and amethyst ring. Seeking for Elrond's 
knowledge, he discovers that the ring is called "Elenya", created after the Three Rings of the Elves 
for Celeborn, who refused to bear it. Holding a Lesser Ring of Power gives the Elf more powers, 
together with the risk of being discovered or corrupted by the Enemy.
With the Ring's clairvoyance powers, Haldir finds out that Aerin is alive, kept captive in 
Carn-dm. The Witch-King has promised the maiden to the one of his captains which will prove 
the most valiant in war.
Elrond teaches the Elf how to use and control the Ring, and gives him a mission:
"Go to Rhosgobel, crossing the Great River at Carrock. Then speak with Radagast the Wizard, 
for I fear or his safety. Maybe he can help you in your quest".
